Message from the President

It’s truly an exciting time to be president of the ATS New York Board. The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is experiencing achievement and growth as never before.

The “Jewel in Israel’s Crown” is now a global institute. At its flagship campus in Haifa featuring a Nobel Prize winning faculty, here in New York at the new Jacobs Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute, and as recently announced, in China, at the Technion-Guangdong Institute of Technology, it is with lightning speed that the Technion is emerging as a world leader in entrepreneurship and innovative technologies.

As the father of a student at the Technion American Medical School program, the Technion is also a family affair. And speaking of families: join ours at ATS, and become part of the mission to take the Technion to even greater heights.

The Technion in NYC

In December 2011, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg selected the Technion and Cornell University to build an applied science and technology campus in New York City. With the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute (JTCII) at its core, the campus is poised to remake the Big Apple into a hub of innovation and technology, much like the Technion has done in Israel.

Support our Chapter project

The Technion faces fierce competition in recruiting top graduate students, plus a shortage of family-friendly living accommodations. We support the Morton and Beverley Rechler Family Foundation Dormitory, which helps meet the housing shortage with affordable, large two-bedroom apartments, conveniently located on campus.
