Message from the President

Sharon and Rubin Pikus

Hello. We’d like to welcome you to American Technion Society (ATS) – Palm Beach. We are a diverse group of individuals who share an interest in Israel, education, and technology through our involvement with the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. With high-tech innovations in fields ranging from biomedical engineering to computer science and everything in between, the Technion has helped build what is often referred to as the “Start-Up Nation.”

Sharon and Rubin Pikus

Through the years, Technion experts have shared their breakthrough research with our ATS Palm Beach community via presentations at local clubs or restaurants, or over more intimate luncheons and cocktail hours at members’ homes. While in-person gatherings are suspended due to the pandemic, we stay in touch virtually. Since the global lockdown took hold in Spring 2020, we’ve aired several exciting webinars with Technion scientists who are combatting COVID-19 with advanced PPE, therapeutics, and solutions for a coronavirus vaccine.

Palm Beach has a long-standing history of supporting the Technion by providing student scholarships and fellowships, underwriting state-of-the-art buildings and laboratories, and helping to fund research projects that impact not only Israel, but people around the world. We invite you to become part of this exciting Technion community. It’s a great way to expand your intellectual horizons, mingle, and meet like-minded people.

We look forward to having you attend our programs and share the excitement we feel for this extraordinary institution.

To be added to our mailing list and receive updates about research at the Technion, please email [email protected]. We invite you to become a part of our Technion family.
