Message from the President

On a personal level, I am continually amazed when I witness the technological contributions from Israel; such a young and small country. I am especially proud that so much of this innovation originated from the labs at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

This high-tech entrepreneurial “start-up nation” could not be where it is today without the brilliance of the students and professors of the Technion. You must see it for yourself. Not only is the Technion known for its innovation in technology but also for medicinal breakthroughs, defense, and engineering.

In turn, the Technion could not have accomplished so much without the support of the ATS and I believe the foundation for our success lies within our local ATS chapters. Our Philadelphia chapter plays a significant role in the success of this endeavor.

I am very proud of the fact that so many of our local board members are graduates of the 21st Century Leadership Program. Many have gone on to serve on the National Board, and some to the International Board of Governors.

Looking forward, we endeavor to expand our Board to include other passionate individuals who have the ability to help grow our “pipeline”. Ideally, these individuals would expand and diversify the expertise of our Board. To accomplish this objective, we are encouraging our leaders to become involved in like-minded organizations.

In addition to growing our leadership, we are continually educating our community as to all the contributions resulting from Technion Innovation.

Come join us!

Support our Local Project

As Israel’s economy grows, so do traffic jams and pollution. We support the Technion’s Ecological Engineering Systems Center, launched in 2008 to develop systems based on providing a healthy balance between urban and green areas as well as designing smart transportation.
