LAVA Power is developing a year-round, around-the-clock solar electricity solution based on an isothermal heat engine and heat pump. His earlier work on this concept was recognized by the Optical Society of America (OSA) as the most important solar energy research of 2016.
Prof. Rotschild also founded RealView Imaging, a company that creates real-time 3D holograms for medical applications. His many honors include the Fulbright, Alon, and Adams fellowships; the Krill Prize from the Wolf Foundation; two innovation awards; and an ERC Starting Grant. He has published more than 40 scientific papers and is named as an inventor on more than 80 patents.
