Lt. Col. Aviv Levi was commissioned into the IAF (Israeli Air Force) in 2004, and served in the Israeli Missile Test Range as the commander of the primary radar unit, and as a Test Range Manager.

In 2009 Lt. Col. Levi was appointed to the IMDO, and for over five years was a part of the ARROW 3 interceptor development leading team. His primary responsibility was the Arrow 3 Seeker development within the IMDO. In 2011 he was appointed as the Head of Upper-Tier Electro-Optics Development. In addition to the Arrow Seeker, he led the development of various Electro-Optics projects from the early stages of requirements and through to development, testing and initial production.

In 2014 Lt. Col. Levi returned to the IAF as a Commanding Technical Officer in the Operational Arrow Unit. In this position, he led a team of nearly sixty officers and was in charge of the technical operational readiness of the Arrow Weapon System.

In 2016 Lt. Col. Levi returned to the IMDO as Head of the Sensors Division, and later, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In this position, he was responsible for major developments within the Sensor Division including formulating long-term plans and road maps, drafting high-level architectural design, and initiating and managing complex projects while simultaneously delivering operational capabilities to the IAF.

Lt. Col. Aviv Levi earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ben Gurion University (2004). He also holds an MBA in Finance (2010) from Bar Ilan University.
