“I chose to attend the Technion because it is the best technological university in Israel, and I always strive for excellence,” she says.
Noa’s academic interests include machine learning and image and signal processing, fields which enable intelligent systems to analyze data, improve decision-making, and revolutionize areas such as healthcare, security, and communications. Noa enjoys exploring such a forward-looking field.
“This field is meaningful to me because it represents cutting-edge technology, aligns with the direction the world is heading, and is incredibly fascinating,” she says.
After she graduates, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in electrical engineering.
Noa is helping her fellow Technion students to succeed through several volunteer programs. She has mentored incoming first-year students as part of the Dean of Students’ “Soft Landing” program, and through the IDF’s “Digma” program, she has mentored peers in the IDF’s academic reserve program, which she is part of herself. She also leads the women’s community in the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, which includes 600 female students and supports their academic, social, and personal growth. When she’s not studying or supporting fellow students, she enjoys playing handball.
Noa has brought this same spirit of service to the war effort, which has taken a deep personal toll on her. After October 7, she cooked for soldiers, together with her mother, and donated to organizations that provide troops with clothing and gear. Sadly, she experienced the loss of a friend on the battlefield shortly after October 7. Despite her grief, she remains focused on her studies and on the future.
“We are all going through this difficult time together, and everyone is facing their own struggles,” she says, referring to her Technion peers. “Some students have been displaced and have not yet returned to their homes; others are still serving in reserve duty while continuing their studies, and some have lost friends and family. It is crucial that we persevere through this difficult time together, looking toward the future, so that we remain strong and united as we shape the future of our country.”
Noa was born and raised in Holon, Israel. Her hobbies include playing sports —especially handball, which she played on Israel’s national team — exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
