Shuli Cohen Shwartz created a career at the intersection of academia and entrepreneurship. She worked for the medical imaging company Elscint Ltd. and in 1999, after earning her MBA at the Technion, launched the medical device company UltraSPECT. She later returned to the Technion as Entrepreneur-in-Residence, helping to build a tumor diagnostics company based on optic technology developed at the Technion. She founded the Medical Lab at Samsung Electronics in Israel, and then co-managed the research/incubator Runway Startup Postdoc Program at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech. In 2018, she was appointed the managing director of Technion DRIVE Accelerator, a funding and acceleration program for high-tech companies in areas ranging from cybersecurity to digital health and social media.
