Based in New York City, it represents thousands of US donors, alumni, and stakeholders who invest in the Technion's growth and innovation to advance critical research and technologies that serve the State of Israel and the global good. ATS employs a staff of 60 + that work from New York and in regional offices across the United States.
YOUR ROLE
The Development Program Associate (DPA) role is a unique opportunity to blend one’s experience with a personal desire to play a role in the continued economic success and support of Israel. Reporting to the Regional Senior Director of Development the DPA will play a central role in helping plan, organize and promote ATS philanthropic activities that are centered in New York. The ideal candidate will be a person who has a positive and enthusiastic attitude, is confident working in a fast-paced environment, meets deadlines and exhibits strong organizational and creative skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support fundraisers in the New York market of ATS through general administrative support, event planning, sales collateral distribution, social media coordination and other marketing communications to generate excitement about the Technion and build a pipeline of donors
Help support local fundraising work with our Innovators, Alumni and the New York Metro Board
Assistance with fundraising activities associated with the Jacobs-Institute at Cornell-Tech including meetings, events, and prospect management.
Develop an email marketing strategy to engage the New York market
Plan and manage events in conjunction with the programs department, to book events, coordinate and liaise with vendors, schedule speakers, and assist attendees during the event to ensure everything is in order.
Maintain event budgets, record individual event registrations, attendance, and contact information.
Assist manager with monthly reports, helping to develop data driven reports that include actionable insights and recommendations.
Prepare and send acknowledgement letters for incoming gifts on behalf of the fundraisers.
Utilize the ATS database to maintain accurate records of all donor interactions, individuals’ programmatic interests, trends in giving and type of support to solicit.
Regional travel will be required.

YOUR EXPERTISE
- An analytical thinker with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity and ethics.
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment while partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Strong organizing and event coordination skills. Savvy to all aspects of social media and social media planning.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. - A strong connection to ATS’ mission.
- Prior non-profit experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent experience required
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Blackbaud/Raisers Edge database experience preferred
