Dr. Martin and Grace Rosman believe that supporting students opens doors to education, opportunity, and national strength. Introduced to the Technion in the 1990s, they were enthralled by what the University was doing and by a desire to support Israel.
The couple became deeply involved by funding scholarships, dorms, and the Rosman-Atidim Program, which helps students from Israel’s underserved and peripheral communities earn a Technion engineering or science degree.
“Enabling gifted students to reach their full potential is essential to Israel’s future, and we believed no university fostered that strength more effectively than the Technion,” said Dr. Rosman.
“Plus,” said Mrs. Rosman, “as scholarship recipients back in the day, it really resonated with us.”

Their involvement created bonds that extended beyond campus. Two of the first students the Rosmans supported are now “like another part of our family,” said Mrs. Rosman. “The first time we met them, we realized what an impact we had on their lives. Now, we visit them every time we go to Israel.”
When a need for advanced computing systems emerged, the Rosmans’ generous support helped launch the Martin and Grace Druan Rosman High-Performance Computer Data Center, a secure, four‑story facility with advanced GPUs (graphics processing units) and essential data infrastructure.
“This technology will ensure that students remain at the Technion to do their research,” said Dr. Rosman. And it’s a natural extension of the Rosmans’ mission. “Our first love is always empowering the students, and that empowers Israel to be a technological leader,” Mrs. Rosman said. Having this center, they believe, is vital to that success.
“It will attract scientists from all over the world to come to the Technion, who will go back and tell their countries what’s really going on in Israel, as opposed to what they read in the press,” she said.
The couple provided generous funding for the building, but to finish construction and acquire the equipment and specialized chips needed to power the center, the Rosmans will match every gift — dollar for dollar — to help raise the remaining funds.
The Rosmans’ legacy lives in the students they’ve supported and the infrastructure they’ve helped build. Ultimately, said Dr. Rosman, “Strengthening Israel, that’s really the goal.”
