This is the 16th year that Calcalist has ranked the 50 most promising private technology companies in Israel (opens in a new tab). To compile the list, we consulted a number of prominent investors, consultants, and entrepreneurs active in the Israeli market. We asked participants to identify the fastest-growing startups with the greatest potential to make significant business moves in the coming year, with an emphasis on companies not yet included in rating agency portfolios. After weighing the data and the range of expert opinions, Calcalist’s high-tech reporters and editors—well-versed in the inner workings of the tech sector—compiled this year’s list of the 50 most promising private technology companies.
At Calcalist’s Tech Independence event, held on Sunday in collaboration with Bank Leumi and Playtika and hosted by songwriter and composer Doron Medalie, the most promising startups in Israel were celebrated. The list could easily have been dominated by cyber companies—long considered Israel’s most globally renowned tech sector—but taking the top spot is Decart, a startup aiming to revolutionize the field of artificial intelligence.
Decart CEO Dean Leitersdorf and Quantum Machines Co-founder and Chief Engineer Nissim Ofek are both Technion alumni. Six other companies on Calcalist’s list were founded or are led by Technion alumni: ForSight Robotics, OX.Security, Qodo, DoorLoop, LightSolver and PhaseV.

Artificial intelligence is not simply changing higher education — it is detonating old assumptions about how students learn and how professors teach. As universities worldwide grapple with how to respond, the Technion is working to confront the questions head-on. Here, AI is not treated as a threat but a catalyst, prompting careful reexamination at every […]
Every year, the European Research Council (ERC) identifies some of the world’s most promising early-career researchers and gives them the freedom to pursue bold ideas. This year, two of those ideas came from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. From cancer research to artificial intelligence (AI), breakthroughs that shape the future often begin with […]
Despite New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s past calls to boycott Cornell Tech because of its partnership with Israel’s Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, city officials and Jewish community leaders on Wednesday announced a $250,000 investment in a Cornell Tech research initiative aimed at expanding New York City’s tree canopy to combat rising temperatures. New York City Council Speaker Julie Menin, the first Jewish woman to hold the post, and other officials unveiled the funding for Cornell Tech’s Urban Tech Hub at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute on Roosevelt Island. The grant will launch the Generative Tree Canopy Project, which will use…
