Have you ever been on a date where the person looked nothing like their profile picture? Venture capitalists often find themselves in the same predicament, argues Yasmin Lukatz. She suggests that the biggest mistake founders make is trying to sound perfect at the cost of authenticity. Drawing from real investment stories, she shows why investors don’t look for great actors, but for honest, trustworthy partners.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
Yasmin Lukatz is a venture capital investor, social entrepreneur, and the founder of ICON and Code for Israel. Over the years, she has worked closely with thousands of entrepreneurs, building bridges between Israel and Silicon Valley and mentoring the next generation of founders as a lecturer at Reichman University.
