Israel is no stranger to defending itself against existential threats. When the war in Gaza revealed that GPS-based drones could be disabled through cyberattacks, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology alumni in the defense establishment got straight to work.
Hear from Brigadier General (res.) Prof. Jacob Nagel, head of the Center for Security Science and Technology at the Technion, as he discusses Israel’s security and the autonomous drone swarm technology that emerged in response. These systems can navigate, identify threats, and complete missions with no GPS, no outside communication, and no human intervention.

More About Jacob Nagel
Former head of the National Security Council and Brigadier General (res.) Prof. Jacob Nagel ’79, has served for more than 40 years in the Defense Ministry and Prime Minister’s Office.
