Israeli AI Innovations Earn a Spot Among TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026

As Seen in Times of Israel

Israeli AI innovations

Four Israeli tech companies have been named in this year’s annual list of Time magazine’s Best Inventions for creations “that are changing how we live, work, play and think about what’s possible,” the publication said.

The global list of the 300 groundbreaking inventions includes Apple’s iPhone Duo, AI software that lets non-coders build websites, and a breakthrough treatment for pancreatic cancer.

The Israeli-founded startups that shone in the global list of inventions that the magazine said “are making the world better, smarter and even a bit more fun” are: SpotitEarly, which trains dogs to detect cancer-related scent signatures in human breath samples; Beewise, a developer of robotic beehives using AI; Bria AI, which helps artists earn royalties when their work is used as part of AI-generated content; and Aidoc, the developer of a clinical AI reasoning engine designed to analyze medical images and clinical data to identify urgent findings and prioritize cases in real time.

Two Israeli innovations featured on TIME magazine’s Best Inventions list — AI-powered robotic beehives and medical AI technology — have ties to The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology alumni Nir Shachar and Elad Walach.

The Cost of Cutting Off Genius: Why Israeli Academic Collaboration Matters

October 20, 2026

Since October 7, 2023, the global academic community has witnessed an unprecedented surge in campaigns to ostracize Israeli universities. What began as campus protests has hardened into “silent boycotts”—institutional breaks, journal desk rejections, and quiet exclusions from research consortia. Yet, those leading this isolation campaign fail to realize a fundamental truth: cutting ties with Israeli […]

Faster Than Light, Without Breaking the Rules

October 20, 2026

Dark points within a changing wave pattern can shift faster than light, even while the waves carrying energy move far more slowly. An electron microscopy experiment has tracked that counterintuitive behavior in a thin material sample. The moving features are locations where a measured wave field cancels to zero. Their motion describes an evolving pattern, […]

The AI Tool That’s Transforming Breast Cancer Treatment

October 12, 2026

A Breakthrough From the Technion  Together with collaborators from leading medical centers in Israel, the United States, Europe, and Australia, Shamai and his team at the Technion have developed an AI model that predicts both the risk that breast cancer will return and whether a patient is likely to benefit from chemotherapy — offering a […]
