Featuring Daniel Aschheim, Ph.D., Consul for Public Diplomacy at the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest
Enjoy a lively discussion with Daniel Aschheim, Ph.D., Consul for Public Diplomacy at the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest, who will give us a briefing about Israel’s recent normalization of relationship agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. Hear Aschheim speak about these historic peace accords, while reconnecting with Technion supporters in your community.
Why are these countries outwardly making peace with Israel? Why now? How do these agreements impact the BDS movement and Israel’s relationships with other Arab countries? These are just some of the questions he will touch on, including the role access to Israeli innovation played. There is no doubt that Israel is the premier source of cutting-edge technology and medical innovation in the Middle East. The higher education system in Israel and Technion as Israel’s first university are major breeding grounds for these scientific breakthroughs.
