ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Professor Alex Furman is the director of the Stephen and Nancy Grand Water Research Institute at the Technion, Israel’s national center for research in water technology, engineering, and management. No stranger to California, Prof. Furman spent a year at the University of California, Davis during a severe drought, researching and consulting with government officials. Prof. Furman earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural engineering from the Technion in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He went on to receive a doctorate in hydrology and water resources from the University of Arizona in 2003 and joined the Technion in 2007.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR
Rob Davidow has been involved with the American Technion Society for more than 30 years. His first involvement was with the Stephen and Nancy Grand Water Research Institute. Rob is a past President of ATS – Southern California, as well as a current member of the ATS National Board of Directors and the Technion’s International Board of Governors. He is a prominent financial analyst and private investor with a distinguished career in finance.
