The inaugural cohort of the Joel and Jeri Rothman Leadership Program began in October 2023. The two-year program brings together an elite cadre of lay leaders from across the U.S. and prepares them to serve as Technion ambassadors.

Through immersive experiences — including a trip to Israel and the University — Rothman Leadership Fellows deepen their knowledge, strengthen their skills as Jewish communal volunteers, expand their networks, and are empowered to lead peers in support of the Technion. While aspects of this cohort’s program have been postponed to 2025 due to the tragic war with Hamas, the 11-member group has had two successful seminars: one in San Francisco and one in New York City. Its third of five multiday experiences will take place in Boston in November.

The Rothman Leadership Program developed from the 21st Century Leadership Program, an American Technion Society initiative that began more than 25 years ago. Of its 71 graduates, five went on to become national presidents and 22 are members of our National Board.
