Message from our Director

Rob Platt

Welcome to the Ohio and Western PA regional site, the newest such site for the American Technion Society (ATS). As the newly appointed Director of Development for the region, I am excited to be your connection to all things Technion.

When I was introduced to the ATS and its mission, my mind went into overdrive. I feel fortunate to have landed on a career working with the Technion – one of the top educational and research institutes in the world – and being able to work to support it and thereby strengthen Israel’s existence.

As your local representative to ATS my priorities are the following: to establish local leadership that helps build the presence of ATS in the region; to bring meaningful and impactful programing to the region that will attract new friends to the organization; to share news and information from the Technion of advancements in defense, technology, and medicine that are beneficial to our local community and all humankind; and to raise necessary funds to allow the technological advancement to continue to flow forth for years to come.

If you would like to be a part of building the future of the American Technion Society in this region, I invite you to reach out to me at [email protected]. Let’s get together and figure out what role you can play in helping us keep the Technion strong and Israel stronger.

All the very best,

Rob Platt
Director of Development
