The Future of Security Walks Right Past You

Israeli startup Scanary.ai is introducing a patented radar and AI-based scanning system for remote mass security screening in open environments. The system, developed by the Tel Aviv-based company, scans individuals in motion from a distance of up to 10 meters — eliminating the need for physical checks or queues common at today’s security checkpoints. To date, the company has raised about $3 million.

The scan takes less than two seconds and, if proven effective, could revolutionize crowd security at large-scale events by replacing physical pat-downs and pocket emptying. The system has received regulatory approvals in Europe, including CE and GDPR certifications, as it avoids facial recognition and does not compromise privacy. Scanary is currently in the approval process with U.S. regulators, and several pilot deployments are expected in Israel in the coming months, followed by tests in the United States.
