Since attending her first ATS event more than 15 years ago, Linda Kovan has been an ambassador for the Technion, elevating awareness in her region and cultivating a network of new members. Serving as ATS – Detroit’s first female president from 2012 to 2016, she partnered with professional staff, reached out to new donors, and revamped the board. She also rallied support to build the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Mechanical Engineering Building at the Technion.

In other ATS activities, Ms. Kovan led the first-ever Women of American Technion Society Mission to Israel in 2014 and a second Women of American Technion Society Mission to Israel in 2022. She supports the Technion Fund and donated to the Technion Emergency Fund for Student Support, established during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Kovan also dedicated the Kovan Family Seminar Room in the Emerson Family Life Sciences Building, and has supported medical and biomedical research at the Technion. In 2019, she received a Technion honorary fellowship for her tireless leadership and vision.

A self-made business leader, Ms. Kovan is president of the Kovan Group, which represents automotive manufacturers, and founder of Peace of Mind Life Solutions.
