The Technion Awards Master’s Degrees to 662 Graduates

October 23, 2025

This year, 662 master’s students completed their studies at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology — 44% of them women. Among the graduates, 125 are international students, comprising 19% of the total.

During the ceremony, Technion President Professor Uri Sivan awarded certificates to 29 graduates who completed their degrees with high distinction.

“As outstanding graduates, we expect of you a strong sense of ethical and social awareness — leaders who recognize that their careers are a calling, meant not only to enrich their own lives but also to make a positive impact on Israeli society as a whole,” the President told the distinguished graduates and their families. “The knowledge and experience you take from the Technion will help you become excellent professionals, but no less importantly, we hope, active and engaged citizens. These complex times remind us that a society is measured not only by its technological achievements but also — and above all — by its social values and cohesion. I wish you great success wherever you go.”

Dean of the Irwin & Joan Jacobs Graduate School Professor Uri Peskin, told the outstanding graduates: “The Technion’s reputation for excellence was not earned because studies here are particularly easy or because our requirements are low — quite the opposite. Thank you for placing your trust in us and for working hard to uphold the high standards — both ours and your own. Our gathering here this evening is one of those rare opportunities to focus on the good. I hope that your experience at the Technion has become an inseparable part of who you are, and that you will continue to be ambassadors of the Technion wherever life takes you.”

The Irwin & Joan Jacobs Graduate School oversees the Technion’s master’s and doctoral programs. Its mission is to enable every student to fulfill their talents and aspirations by pursuing advanced degrees at the highest level, while ensuring their well-being, fostering professionalism and integrity, and encouraging creativity, academic excellence, and social contribution in the spirit of the Technion’s values.
