AI Research as a Force for Global Good

In my last blog post, I wrote that philanthropy is most powerful when it is connected to meaning. As fundraisers and storytellers, our responsibility is not simply to celebrate Israel’s achievements. It is to help people understand why those achievements matter, how they improve lives, and why they deserve our collective support. 

That challenge feels especially urgent as we navigate one of the most transformative moments of our time: the rise of artificial intelligence.

Not long ago, AI belonged mostly to the realm of science fiction. Today, it touches nearly every aspect of our lives. It helps us navigate traffic, identify health concerns, make purchasing decisions, and communicate more effectively. Yet while AI is already changing the way we live, its impact on scientific discovery may prove even more profound.
