Celebrating the Release of Last Israeli Hostage

Since October 7, 2023, a banner above Elyachar Library at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology’s campus in Haifa called for the return of all hostages. It stood as a daily symbol of the community’s solidarity with those taken that day and their families.

With the return of Ran Gvili, the last Israeli hostage, Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan and University leadership gathered to finally bring it down. “How long we have waited for this moment,” President Sivan said, quoting the Book of Jeremiah.
